Torre delle Stelle is a seaside resort in south-east Sardinia and dates back to the late sixties. Being situated on top of a promontory it offers a gorgeous view on the Golfo degli Angeli.
Only few people live there in winter time. During the summer months, however, it is buzzing with life and offers countless activities without ever getting too noisy as typical tourist places often do.
Thanks to its position on the very South of Sardinia, Torre delle stelle enjoys one of the longest summers in the island: sunshine and fine weather from May to October.

Beaches and Sea
Two splendid sandy beaches are part of the resort: Cann’e Sisa and Genn’e Mari; plus some small rocky bays like Cala Delfino and Cala Biscia. A network of foot trails and roads always give easy access to the seaside, remarkable for its white sandy beaches and emerald-green water.
Beaches, Sea and much, much more…
From Torre delle Stelle some of the most splendid beaches of southern Sardinia are easily reachable. The long sandy beach of Solanas is only even a few minutes of drive away, as well as the marvelous beaches of Villasimius peninsula and the gorgeous little bays on the coastal road to Cagliari like Cala Regina and Su Mari Pintau.
For day-trips the vast white beach of Costa Rei or an excursion to the National Park Monte dei Sette Fratelli in the hinterland represent a most appealing alternative.
Entertainment and Outdoor Activities
In summer the sea is not only inviting to take a swim, but also to snorkel and fish. At the beach it’s possible to find a boat rental and a local diving school offers courses for scuba diving.
In the village there is a tennis and a basketball court and a field for bowls-game. A local riding school organizes excursions on a horseback.
A network of foot trails throughout the village offers beautiful easy walks, while the hilly countryside represents and option for panoramic hiking.
During summer nights bars and beach-huts organize music events and entertainment. Once a week there are nocturnal markets with regional food and handicraft. For real night life however, the best option remains the close city of Cagliari and its lively seaside Poetto beach.
Services and Facilities
There are three restaurants/pizzerias in the village. From spring to autumn two supermarkets are opened daily and sell also fresh meat, fishes and cheese.
There is also a pharmacy, a newspaper kiosk and a tobacco shop. Souvenirs are also available. A cash machine is situated outside of the supermarket Genn’e Mari. During the summer months a medical practitioner and a veterinarian are available.
Off-season the supermarket is only opened on week-ends.
